Observing safely
Never look directly at the Sun through unfiltered binoculars, a telescope, a camera, or other optical equipment. Solar observation requires appropriate, undamaged equipment and the manufacturer’s safety instructions. Ordinary sunglasses are not solar-viewing protection. Follow local rules and use appropriate precautions when observing outdoors or handling equipment.
